Maka‘ala Arakaki

Marketing Assistant

Courtney Maka’ala Arakaki was born and raised on the ‘Ewa side of O’ahu. She has a passion for Jesus, Hawaiian culture, and health & fitness. Raised by her beloved grandma and experiencing the life changing benefits of eating whole-food plant-based, Maka’ala knew she was meant to assist at Nourish Kaua’i to support the kupuna of this island she now calls home.

Blessed to attend Kamehameha Schools, UH Mānoa, and University of Washington, Maka’ala is trained in Marketing as well as a group fitness instructor. Maka’ala has worked with non-profits like Hawai'i Bicycling League and Mālama Pu'uloa, rooted in community resources and land restoration. Now she is excited to play her part in a faith-based community-centered hui like Nourish Kaua’i! 

In her free time, Maka’ala loves dancing, hiking, baking, reading, studying the Bible, watching the sunrise & sunset, and most definitely will have worship music playing.
